No release date or release window has been set for Fable on Xbox Series X yet, but we wouldn’t expect to see it until late 2021 at the very earliest. ![]() ![]() The first Fable trailer is above, and it doesn’t reveal much, save for the fact that the game is likely set well before the later entries in the series as we don’t get as much of a sense of a Victorian-style industrial revolution as we did in Fable 3’s setting. What can I play it on? This is an Xbox exclusive so expect to play it on Xbox Series X/S and PC.When can I play it? There’s no release date yet but don’t expect it soon.What is it? When it’s released, Fable will be the first mainline entry in the Fable series since 2010’s Fable 3 and it’s safe to say that fans are eager to see where the series will go next. Fable 4, or just Fable as it’s officially known right now, is currently in development and it’s one of the most highly-anticipated Xbox exclusives there is.Īnnounced by Microsoft in 2020 after years of speculation, the game is being developed for Xbox Series X, Series S and PC by Playground Games, the Microsoft-owned studio behind the Forza Horizon games.
